Contiene: The highly-civilized Maya and Aztec cultures poseesssed an ecnormous pantheon of gods all demanding ceremonial music, dances and offerings. Their ritual was the product of an agrarian culture naturally focused on the indispensable bodies of water and rain. Careful study of the preserved codices, chronicles, ceramics and paintings has made possible the identification of their specific ceremonial dance styles.
