Revisión: The proposed research seeks to investigate the conditions influencing the emergence and reproduction of transportistas (struckers) in Bolivia and their effect upon peasant productive activities in a region in the Departament of Cochabamba. A central focus of the research will be to study the commercialization of commodities as a process consisting of three phases (production, transportation, and sale in the market) through the examination of the role played by truckers in it. More specifically, the study will investigate the interrelation between intermediaries and producers.
