<br/><br/> Semblanzas de dos intelectuales recientemente fallecidos. El antropólogo alemán Jürgen Riester (1941-2019), píonero de los trabajos antropológicos científicos entre los pueblos indígenas de las tierras bajas del oriente boliviano, en una época caracterizada por la intolerancia, que decretó su expulsión de la región por subvertor y comunista. En el desarrollo de su trabajo recopilo ritos, tradiciones y costumbres, transmitidos oralmente. Esta obra, en su conjunto, constituye su legado. Rodolfo Pinto Parada (1940-2019), estudió ingeniería civil en la Universidad Técnica de Oruro (UTO), destacó en el estudio de la cultura, historia, antropología y arqueología y cultivó la literatura beniana y formó una biblioteca, muy completa, del Beni.<br/>  Portraits of two recently deceased intellectuals. The German anthropologist Jürgen Riester (1941- 2019), pioneer of scientific anthropological work among the indigenous peoples of the lowlands of eastern Bolivia, at a time characterized by intolerance, which decreed their expulsion from the region as a subverter and communist. In the development of his work he collected rites, traditions and customs, transmitted orally. This work, as a whole, constitutes his legacy. Rodolfo Pinto Parada (1940-2019), studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Oruro (UTO), excelled in the study of culture, history, anthropology and archeology and cultivated Beni literature and formed a very complete library of Beni.
