N2  - El presente artículo forma parte de un proyecto de investigación que tuvo como objeto el estudio de las tumbas-mausoleo del cementerio de Angualasto, departamento Iglesia, provincia de San Juan, Argentina. El análisis material y contextual lo realizamos desde la Arqueología Histórica Funeraria y la Arquitectura, teniendo como eje un bien patrimonial de valor social. El proyecto surgió gracias al interés de un sector de la comunidad que observaba, en algunas tumbas, ciertas particularidades en el estilo de construcción, por lo que nació la necesidad de comprender la razón de las diferencias constructivas con relación a su entorno, además de conocer el origen y la forma adecuada de conservar y restaurar las mismas. En acuerdo a ello se realizó, desde la Arqueología Histórica Funeraria, el relevamiento de las tumbas y la posterior búsqueda de antecedentes documentales que permitieran conocer el origen de las mismas. Además, desde la Arquitectura, se realizó el análisis funcional, estableciendo semejanzas y analogías, el diagnóstico de las patologías y de las alternativas de conservación.; This paper is part of a research project that had as object of study the tombs-museum of the Angualasto cemetery, Iglesia, San Juan, Argentina. The material and contextual analysis was carried out from the point of view of Funerary Historical Archaeology and Architecture, having as axis a patrimonial good of social value for a community. The project arose from the interest of a sector of the community that observed in some tombs particularities in the style of construction, being the interest of the inhabitants to understand the reason for the constructive differences with respect to their environment, in addition to knowing the origin and the proper way to preserve and restore them. 
In accordance with this, from the Funerary Historical Archaeology, the survey of the tombs was carried out 
and the subsequent search of documentary antecedents that allowed to know the origin of the same. While from 
Architecture, the diagnostic analysis was carried out from the asp, establishing similarities, analogies, diagnosis 
of pathologies and conservation alternatives
